First MoneyWorks Wales breakfast network a success for Merthyr Tydfil borough Credit Union
On 11th July 2024, we held our first MoneyWorks Wales networking breakfast at the Orbit Centre in Merthyr Tydfil, bringing together current and existing payroll partners to share experience of payroll deduction and how its helping staff and employers.
Those in attendance were Mayor Cllr John Thomas, MoneyWorks Representatives Sandy Highfield & Riswan Shams, our MoneyWorks Wales partners from Cwm Taf Morgannwg University Health Board, Merthyr Tydfil Housing Association, Merthyr Tydfil County Borough Council and Welsh Government along with FSB Wales, Stop Loan Sharks Wales, Money & Pension Service and Unite the Union
Feedback was very positive from those in attendance, many of whom expressed the importance of MoneyWorks Wales and how it is helping employees and employers, especially around the benefits the Credit Union offers its members.
Delyth Shearing, Chief Executive said ‘It was great to see such a good turnout today of our current payroll partners and new businesses interested in MoneyWorks Wales.
We’re keen to support as many employers and employees as possible and events like today help to spread the word. We’re looking to organise another soon’
