Merthyr Credit Union now offers the RECITE ME Web Accessibility & Language Toolbar
With the increasing demand for our services, we’re thrilled to announce we have purchased the RECITE ME web accessibility and language toolbar to help make our online content accessible to as many people in our common bond area of Merthyr Tydfil, Blaenau Gwent, Caerphilly and Rhondda Cynon Taf.
RECITE ME uses innovative technology via a unique range of features on all devices, it will help one in five people in the Wales who have a disability, including common conditions like sight loss and dyslexia in a way that suits them best.
It will also help the 20% of people in Wales who don’t speak English as their first language, by being able to translate our web content into over 100 different languages including Polish, Portuguese and Welsh.
Delyth Shearing, CEO said “As part of improving access to our services, we’re pleased to be adding this accessibility tool to our website to help current and future Members customise our website to suit their own needs, in order to take full advantage of our range of savings and loans’.
