BikePark Wales joins MoneyWorks Wales

Bike Park Wales are the latest employer to partner with Merthyr Tydfil Borough Credit Union to roll out MoneyWorks Wales, they join JNP Solicitors, Cwm Taf Morgannwg Health Board, Merthyr Tydfil County Borough Council and two housing associations Merthyr Valley Homes and Merthyr Tydfil Housing Association amongst others currently supporting their employees through MoneyWorks Wales.

BikePark Wales is the home for mountain bikers from novice to professional, it has the UK's most diverse selection of all-weather mountain bike trails based in Merthyr Tydfil.

MoneyWorks Wales is a collaboration between 10 Welsh Credit Unions including Merthyr Tydfil Borough Credit Union offering employees the opportunity to save and repay loans directly from their wages, so they don't have to worry about missing payments and can save regularly without hassle.

With 1 in 4 UK employees saying money worries have affected their ability to do their job, it makes sense for employers and employees to be part of MoneyWorks Wales. The scheme is free to join for employers.

Mark McKnight, Chief Operating Officer at Bike Park Wales said ‘We are really pleased to be working with MoneyWorks Wales to offer our team a way of saving and to borrow from a reputable source in a straight forward, easy to manage way’

Delyth Shearing CEO, Merthyr Tydfil Credit Union said ‘‘It’s fantastic to welcome Bike Park Wales, one of Merthyr and Wales best-known employers to our payroll deduction scheme, we’re excited about the partnership and looking forward to helping their staff save and borrow without hassle.

With the cost of living still hitting people’s budgets it’s more important than ever to partner with local employers to roll out MoneyWorks Wales and tell employees of all the other benefits the Credit Union offers and we hope bringing Bike Park Wales on board will encourage other employers to find out more about the scheme and sign up and give their employees a helping hand.’
