School Savings
School Savings
Merthyr Tydfil Borough Credit Union recognises the importance of teaching children, from an early age, the importance of savings and more importantly the value of money.
Junior members use our accounts for all kinds of purposes; spending money for holidays, computer games, PC's or Tablets and its a great way for parents to spread the cost of big school trips too.
With the support of volunteers, parents and staff we have 11 school savings collections throughout the Borough, mostly in Primary School. The Collection Points are done weekly, on a set day and held before and during the school day at an allocated time.
To join your child needs to fill out a Junior Member form and give it to the School Collection Point Volunteer. Forms are available HERE
Every Junior Member gets piggy bank when they open an account and starts saving with the Credit Union.
For more information, or if you would like your school to get involved, please contact us on the details below.
